Georgia Games Commission
The Georgia State Games Commission was created in 1989 by Senate Bill 194. A 14-member commission is the governing body and organizing entity for the Georgia Games, which is administered through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Operating funds are provided by the General Assembly of Georgia, corporate sponsorships and entry fees.

Special Olympics Georgia
Athletes gain skills for employment, learn independent living skills, form relationships and help others understand their extraordinary capabilities despite health issues they experience daily. Through the program, 20,253 Georgia athletes are given the chance to express themselves and test their limits. Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) offers 23 different sports for athletes to experience ranging from badminton, swimming, soccer and gymnastics. Athletes ranging from age six through senior participate in Special Olympics, gaining life skills and confidence in their athletic ability.
